Conference Day 1 TwoConference Day One ThreeThe first morning of the Breakthrough Conference 2009 opened up with a packed house and hearts expecting and the Holy Spirit pouring out in the Worship service. Doctor Eduardo Gonzalez gave a report of the Cuban Church even as they struggle with major difficulties, God is giving them victory.

Pastor Colin Hurt spoke on expanding the kingdom and proclaiming the Kingdom Word of repentance towards God and faith in Christ Jesus. He shared on the Beatitudes of Matthew 5 and that the Church body should not be just proclaiming the Beatitude in words only, but be living them out in their daily lives.

The afternoon session opened up with anointed and fervent Worship and brother James Mbewe, Calvary Commission’s missionary to Zambia, gave a report on the Zambia Vocal Group Academy and of the latest missionary outreach to Zambia 2009.

Missionary Glenn Clark gave a report of the countries that he ministered in this year, including Kenya, the Congo, Zambia, Lima Peru, Cuba and Reynosa Mexico. He shared the passion of how God changed him from being a full-time contractor into a full time missionary contractor for Jesus. His message spoke on the encouragement of getting out of the boat. It admonished the Church to take their eyes off of the storms of life and place their eyes back upon Jesus as He bids them to come to step on the waters of faith and to fully surrender and submit to the calling of God in their lives.

The opening report of the ministry work in the prisons of Belize was shared by Jeff Nickell. It is very exciting to see the work and the expansion of Aftercare Ministry being offered for men released from prison. Jeff also shared his heart of a 50 acre piece of property that he believes God is ordaining for future discipleship of men released from prison. Jeff also shared that it has been over 20 years since he has been released from prison and has been in ministry faithfully sharing God’s love to prisoners in Belize.

Dr Eduardo Gonzalez, Pastor from Cuba, brought a message that charged the congregation that it is not time to stop running. He shared the message of not being content on where we are at, and as the Apostle Paul shared, “The one thing I do is to not look behind, but to press on to the high calling that is in Christ Jesus.” He says that today is the day of Salvation. Time is short. There is no time to waste. We must keep moving forward. We must make every effort to continue to spread the Gospel. One must keep their sight on Christ. We must exert every muscle, and in this race we must abide by the rules. There is no time to slow down or to be content with where we are at. We must finish strong.
